Last night at the Varsity Club Awards Night the following athletes were selected as Wasatch High’s Top Female and Male Athletes as selected by the coaching staff.

Top Female Athlete- Kylie Guymon

Coach Brad Foster- I have had the privilege of coaching Kylie in Cross Country and Track at Wasatch High school, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the kind of leader, example, and athlete she is.  Not only has Kylie managed to be a varsity contributor during all four of her years of track, but she has been the kind of student-athlete a coach can truly be proud of.  Kylie has is an all-inclusive example of what it means to be a leader on a team.  She constantly has a smile on her face, she constantly works at her craft in a determined and respectful way, she constantly preforms at a high level in our weekly meets, and constantly meets the expectations placed on her as a captain, student, and friend.

TDSC_0177op Male Athlete- Ritchie Heywood

Ritchie has been very instrumental in the success of the Wasatch Wrestling Program over the years as he has committed himself to being the best.  He has been a joy to work with because he works very and has led by example through all levels of the program, even when I first started coaching him when he was in the 4th grade.  A young man like Ritchie will be hard to replace but I do hope others strive to the level and standard that he has set for himself and the program.  On a personal level, he is a joy to be around.
