Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball loses tough match to Timpanogos

The Wasatch Wasps lost a tough volleyball match on the road at Timpanogos on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd, 1 game to 3.
The night looked as though it might be a quick win for WHS, as the Wasps made easy work of the T-wolves in game one, 25-16. Wasatch played almost flawlessly, hitting over .200 as a team.
Oh, how things can change. Quickly.
No sooner did game 2 start that Timpanogos was up on the Wasps 9-0! After a time out, Wasatch did climb back into the game 11-13, when Timp called a time out as well. From there, however, things went downhill for WHS, as the T-wolves claimed total momentum and closed out the match with game scores of 17-25, 13-25 and 17-25.
Wasatch was led by Tori Dorius with 11 kills, 4 blocks and 4 aces. Sidney Ostergaard added 4 kills and 12 digs, and Junior Ellie Martindale had 18 digs and 2 aces. Team hitting was an abysmal .020, and the Wasps had an unusual 11 service errors for the night.
