State Champions recognized at Board Meeting

Last night the Women’s Swim team, the Wrestling team and the Cheerleaders were recognized and honored at the Wasatch Board of Education Meeting. Congratulations to all three teams on their incredible achievements.

On Friday the 15th Wasatch celebrated two State Championships and a whole lot of graduating seniors: The evening began with the Women’s Swim Team and the Wrestling team entering the nest to the tune of “We are the Champions” and the team captains presented the State Trophies to the Studentbody Officers. Athlete Council reads to JR Smith students

On Monday February 11th members of the Wasatch Athlete council read to the kindergartners and 1st grades at JR Smith.  The students love having the athletes come read to them and the Athletes love reading to them. Check out some of the pictures.

Wasatch Girls win Title- (Daily Herald article)

Wasatch girls edges Timpview in dramatic finish to win 5A state girls swimming title Heading into the final race of the 2019 5A state girls swim meet at BYU on Saturday afternoon, Timpview and Wasatch both knew the stakes. The Thunderbirds trailed the Wasps by 10 points but had the best 400-yard freestyle relay team.

Wasatch’s Swim’n Women win State

The Wasatch Women’s Swim team won their 2nd State Swim Title by beating Timpview by a mere 2 points.  The men’s team placed 6th which was 5 places higher than seeded. Coach Shawn Marsing was selected as the 5A Women’s coach of the year and this was his first ever State Title as a coach.

Swim’n Women & Men win Region

Congratulations to the Women & Men’s swim teams for taking the Region VIII Titles.  The women scored 531 pts outdistancing 2nd by 233 pts.  The men were able to beat Springville by a mere 1 pt, 455-454.   The following swimmers placed in the top 6: Women’s 200 Medley relay 1st place– Trevi Ogilvie, Maddy Moulton,

Athlete Council reads to JR Smith students

On Monday December 10th the Wasatch High Athlete council read to the kindergarten and 1st grade students at JR Smith.  The young kids were very excited to see the athletes and everyone had a great time. Girls
